Privacy policy
Last updated 27 September 2026. Meridian is a private, invite-only paper-trading and market-research site. No real money is traded for members.
What we collect
- Your username, display name and a scrypt hash of your password; or, if you sign in with Google or GitHub, your account ID, name and verified email address from that provider.
- Your simulated trades, orders, lesson progress and settings inside Meridian.
- Optional: a notification topic name you choose, and the widget key you generate.
How it is used
Only to run your account: sign-in, your simulated portfolio, your progress and the notifications you turn on. We do not sell, share or advertise with your data. We only request basic profile and email access from sign-in providers and never access anything else in your Google or GitHub account.
Who can see it
You, and the site administrator, who can view members' simulated trading activity to run and support the service. If you opt in to the leaderboard, other members see only your display name, title, XP and percentage return.
Storage and deletion
Data is stored on a private server in the EU (AWS, Stockholm region) with encrypted backups. Ask the administrator to delete your account and all its data at any time; removal is permanent.
